I have been hearing about from many Ukrainian propagandists about the Kherson counter-offensive for months. The first person to mention it to me was a Polish homonationalist on Twitter.
Speaking to the British broadcaster, Podolyak said that “war is a dynamic process” that entails “a constant correction of tactical goals” and that he preferred to discuss “the possibility of lifting the blockade in broad terms” rather than particular maneuvers. When pressured on the promises of a counteroffensive, he conceded that they could have been meant to deceive Russia.
“Certainly, all public comments are part of information warfare. We need to demoralize the Russian army,” he said.

The Ukrainian side of the war has operated quite freely with the “truth” since the beginning of the war. To be more frank I would say dishonest and peddling misinformation.
You have to wonder at the Ukrainian strategy though. Sure outright lies like the Ghost of Kiev or the babushka that took down a drone with a pickle jar or the brave deaths at Snake Island may hype morale for a short period of time.
But when the public eventually has bought into the hype of Ukrainian disinformation only to come crashing down to reality then only Ukrainians (that support the Kiev government) and liberal pigs in the West are eventually going to be demoralised to an even deeper level than had they not put these fakes out?
In that light we have to wonder if Podolyak is a double agent – helping to demoralise the Kiev regime.
Kiev has until the end of this month to provide any useful gains for the West. A whole raft of governments are about to be thrown out and New York Times is already hinting at throwing Zelensky under the bus.
The recent uploading then deletion of the a CBS documentary shows there is some deep infighting within the ruling factions of the USA and that Zelensky is going to be thrown under a bus. The documentary claimed only 30% of the weapons sent by the US were reaching the front line.2
With the continuing collapse of long term American strategic projects (Afghanistan and now Ukraine) the US is about to receive another humiliation. They threw their weapons into the hands of Ukrainians and asked them to fight to the last Ukrainian. So who’s going to be the fall guy?
It’ll be Zelensky who was to corrupt and the US didn’t realise that he’d banned all political parties and the media. We may well very see State department officials start bringing up all the nazis in Ukraine.
My guess would be when the collapse of the AFU happens in the Donbass the Russians are going to offer a negotiated settlement. If this settlement is rejected “all hell will break lose”.
I know what awaits us. As soon as Vladimir Putin has done his work in Seversk, Bakhmut and Soledar, after reaching the second line Slaviansk-Kramatorsk-Avdeevka, he will come up with a proposal. And if they [the West] don’t accept it, – and they won’t – all hell will break loose
